CLOVIS/PORTALES MICROPLEX
One reason business continues to boom in Clovis is the 2003 designation of the Clovis-Portales area as a Microplex by the U.S. Census Bureau. The two cities, located 20 miles apart, are now listed together with a customer base of over 50,000. The area is considered a shopping hub with a 60-mile shopping radius and a population of approximately 130,000.
